My name is Heath - I take photographs.
I am fascinated by an individual's embedded aesthtics - why do we all see differently?
I like cameras, dogs and the blissful marriage between ocean and hinterland.
I like to watch people. I listen to accents. I study form in landscape. I embrace simplicity, appreciate old before new, all shades of blue, white country houses, silence and photographs.
I like reading artist statements. I dislike photographers glowing appraisals of their own abilities. I see photography as a subjective medium -  the photograph should speak.
That said, I have failed to reach my word count. 
I travel with 15 years of experience across Melbourne's commercial, editorial and creative communities - now located in Byron Bay. Servicing Byron, The Northern Rivers, Gold Coast and Brisbane.
My portrait work has been recently selected as a semi finalist for the 2012 Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize.  I have been nominated for the Walkley, Australia's Top Photographer Award and shortlisted for the TPOTY International Photographer of the Year - I regret fronting my Grade 6 school band.
My personal works have been exhibited in Melbourne, Sydney, London and New York and Byron Bay. 
I make regular contiributions to domestic and international magazines, creative agencies, commercial and individual clients.
